Laser Therapies in Focus: Dr Matthew McLindon Presents at the Heal With Laser Conference, Brisbane
Clinical Laser Therapy Australia is proud to share that founder Dr Matthew McLindon presented at the Heal With Laser conference in Brisbane in September 2025, bringing his hands-on experience in laser therapies to practitioners from across the country and abroad.
Why laser therapies matter
Laser therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of light to support the body’s natural healing processes. Clinically, laser therapies are used for soft tissue and sports injuries, inflammatory conditions, repetitive stress injuries and wound care. As patients look for drug-free, non-invasive options, interest in laser therapies among health practitioners continues to grow.
A clinician-led approach to laser therapies
Dr McLindon is a second-generation chiropractor who opened his flagship laser clinic in Moama in 2022 after identifying a significant need for photobiomodulation in regional Australia. His interest in the field began around a decade ago, and he has since pursued advanced training in Canada, the UK and Italy. More recently he trained in Germany and Italy on the M-Hi and Hiro TT laser systems.
Clinical Laser Therapies has grown to include a Bendigo clinic and is now one of the biggest providers of laser therapy in Australia.
Sharing knowledge at Heal With Laser
The Brisbane conference gave Dr McLindon the chance to share what he has learned from using advanced laser technology in everyday clinical practice, and to learn from other leaders in the field. Events like Heal With Laser help practitioners build their skills, compare approaches and raise standards of care in laser therapies across Australia.
Around the conference, Dr McLindon also hosted international guests Dr Mata Karagianni and Francesco Sahli at his Moama clinic. Together they spent two days, 12 and 13 September, training local practitioners on the new machines before heading north to Brisbane.
What this means for patients
Each conference, training session and international visit feeds back into patient care. For people in regional Victoria, southern NSW and beyond, it means access to laser therapies delivered by a clinician who is actively involved in the field’s development.
