Clinical Laser Therapy Australia Expands Regional Services with Opening of Bendigo Clinic
CLTA will be consulting from orthopaedic surgeon, Mr Dugal James’ clinic, Bendigo Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic, 176 Barnard St Bendigo, Victoria – [January 2026] — Clinical Laser Therapy Australia (CLTA) is very excited to be consulting alongside and working with many of Bendigos prominent specialists and allied health practitioners. CLTA is looking forward to expanding access to Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT), commonly known as laser therapy, to patients across Central Victoria.
The Bendigo clinic builds on CLTA’s established services in Moama, NSW, and reflects the organisation’s ongoing commitment to providing safe, evidence-informed, non-invasive care to regional communities.
Founded by Dr Matthew McLindon, Clinical Laser Therapy Australia focuses exclusively on PBMT, a light-based therapy that has been studied internationally and is used in a range of rehabilitation and clinical settings.
“Access to advanced care can be limited in regional areas,” said Dr Matthew McLindon. “The opening of our Bendigo clinic is about supporting local communities by providing access to specialised services closer to home.”
What Is Photobiomodulation Therapy?
Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) uses specific wavelengths of green, violet, red and near-infrared light that are absorbed at a cellular level. The therapy is used to support normal physiological processes, including cellular energy production, circulation, inflammatory response regulation, and tissue repair.
PBMT is non-invasive and drug-free, and is commonly incorporated as part of broader care plans alongside other healthcare and rehabilitation approaches.
At Clinical Laser Therapy Australia, treatments are delivered using medical-grade Class II, III, IV and high-intensity laser systems, following appropriate clinical screening and safety protocols.
Supporting Regional Health Care
The new Bendigo clinic will support patients experiencing a range of health concerns, including musculoskeletal discomfort, soft tissue and sports-related injuries, joint and movement-related issues, inflammatory conditions, and post-surgical recovery support.
Clinical Laser Therapy Australia emphasises a patient-centred approach, with individualised assessment and collaboration with local healthcare professionals where appropriate.
Dr McLindon brings more than 27 years of clinical experience and continues to engage in ongoing professional development, including participation in international education and conferences related to laser therapy and rehabilitation.
